Metal Wire Gauze Structured Packing for Distillation
1. Super Packing Mall Metal Structured Packing
This is a general type of packing, which is composed of several
vertically arranged reticulated corrugated plates. Instead of
welding, the metal wire gauze structured packings are fixed to the
wall with nails or rings. Its structure can not only change the
distribution of liquid, but also improve the transfer efficiency.
2.The role of structured packing in high vacuum distillation column
Metal structured packing can be devided into metal perforated plate
corrugated structured packing and metal wire gauze corrugated
structured packing by raw materials.
structured packing typically consists of thin corrugated metal
plates or gauzes arranged in a way that they force fluids to take
complicated paths through the column, thereby creating a large
surface area for contact between different phrases . it provides
high capacity, high efficiency and lower pressure drop than any
random packings and most trays. Because of the capillary effect,
the wire gauze material provides an extremelly wettable surface,
resulting in excellent mass transfer efficiency, particularly at
very low liquid rates.

Below are the main types we usually make. Each type has two styles,
different in the wave clination angle to the axis, 30 degrees (X
style) and 45 degrees (Y style). For example, 250Y structured
packing, each wave has a 45 degrees angle to the axis, and the
neighboring plates' waves are vertical to each other. We can also
help make other types such as 450, 252, 452, etc. as per customer
request.
