1. Metal Saddle Rings Introduction:
Metal saddle ring is composed of ring and saddle shape, with tongue
shaped ribs inside.
Metal Saddle Ring is one popular type of column random packing.
Compared with Raschig Ring with the same material, it has high
flux, high efficiency and low pressure drop. Also Metal Saddle
Rings has less resistance, higher flux, higher efficiency, better
packing strength and rigidity than Pall Rings. Metal Saddle Ring,
also known as Intalox Saddles, I ring, IMTP packing, is the most
widely used random packing nowadays.

4. Metal Saddle Ring Packing Bed:
Metal saddle ring packed bed has a large void fraction, and most of
the packing is circular liquid channel, which reduces the
resistance of gas passing through the bed, also reduces the radial
diffusion coefficient of liquid flowing downward.
Metal saddle ring is widely applied in drying tower, absorption
tower, cooling tower, washing tower, wet scrubber tower,

6. Metal Saddle Ring Side View:
We can see that the upper arc is an elliptic curve and the lower
arc is a semicircle curve. Though it looks complex in the
self-structure and shape, it is made of a single square piece of
metal sheet. So it will be easy to calculate the specific area of
this kind of packing, if we know the bulk packing number of a cubic
meter.
