various types and materials. Take 500Y type metal plate corrugated
packing for example, we can make it into any shape and size, as per
customer order. The packing layer is usually made into 100mm,
150mm, 200mm, etc. Other height options can be negotiated. About
the plate thickness, we usually use 0.1mm, 0.12mm, 0.15mm, etc. We
can also produce and supply other tower internals like liquid
distributors, packing support, bed limiters, etc., together with
the structured packing.

Characteristics and application of structured packing
① Through regular arrangement of components, uniform and regular
gas-liquid flow channel is formed, so that gas-liquid contact in an
orderly manner, so as to strengthen mass transfer, reduce
amplification effect, reduce gas flow pressure drop and low liquid
holding capacity. It is especially suitable for vacuum distillation
of heat sensitive materials.
② According to the test, the performance of structured packing is
better than that of bulk packing and tray under FP = 0.3 (vacuum,
atmospheric distillation and absorption process with less liquid).
However, for the high pressure distillation and absorption of FP ≥
0.5, the liquid spray density is very high and the gas backmixing
is serious, which makes the efficiency of structured packing
decrease sharply.
③ The absorption performance of structured packing is well
controlled.
④ The treatment of foaming materials with structured packing is
better than that of bulk packing or tray.
⑤ For all kinds of structured packing made of metal mesh and thin
plate (thickness 0.1-0.2mm), the service life is short in corrosive
medium, while the regular packing made of plastic mesh, plate and
ceramic plate is corrosion-resistant.
